the blue economy in Dakar

Senegal hosted a major international gathering focused on the future of marine resources and aquaculture development: the Atlantic Aquaculture Forum 2026, co-organized by the AIR Centre(Atlantic International Research Centre)and its partners. This strategic event brought together researchers, policymakers, and international experts to address critical challenges related to food sovereignty and the sustainable management of the Atlantic Ocean.

Madyana Studio had the honor of overseeing the complete audiovisual production and creating the official media content for this forum.

A scientific bridge

After two initial editions held in the Azores, this relocation to Dakar marks a significant turning point for regional cooperation. The forum created an unprecedented synergy between the AIR Centre and COMHAFAT (the intergovernmental conference bringing together the 22 African countries bordering the Atlantic), affirming a shared commitment to harmonizing research and management efforts.

Key issues at the heart of the discussions: Innovation, Autonomy, and Cooperation

Through insights captured in the field by our teams, the official film highlights the strategic priorities shared by the participants:

◉ Synergy and technology transfer: Strengthening the training of researchers and technicians, and fostering the transfer of expertise across the Atlantic network.

◉ Food sovereignty and local inputs: Producing fish feed from local raw materials to reduce production costs, end reliance on imports, and ensure affordable access for the population.

◉ Networking and knowledge sharing: Connecting countries along the African coast to share expertise and collectively overcome scientific and financial challenges.

◉ Direct social impact: Applying scientific research to directly benefit the daily lives of coastal and rural communities.

Tailor-made audiovisual production by Madyana Studio

To capture the scope and energy of this international event, our team employed technical expertise that meets global broadcasting standards:

◉ Institutional photographic coverage: High-resolution images of conferences, portraits of speakers, event atmosphere, and the showcasing of the event’s visual identity.

◉ Filming & interviews: Recording of individual interviews in high definition, along with B-roll footage capturing key moments from the forum.

◉ Post-production & 4K finishing: Dynamic editing, integration of on-screen graphics (lower thirds), color grading, audio mixing, and bilingual subtitling.
